Roma coach Di Francesco no complaints after Fiorentina defeat

AS Roma coach Eusebio di Francesco offered no excuses after their 2-0 defeat to Fiorentina.

Marco Benassi and Giovanni Simeone struck for the Viola, but the Giallorossi were unlucky after rattling the woodwork three times.

“Nothing went our way. We conceded two goals from two attempts, but it's also our own fault, as we defended badly," the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

“Things aren't going well at the moment and we have to take responsibility, because it was similar to the defeat in Barcelona. Once again, we didn't take our chances, were not clinical in attack and then made mistakes in defence too."

Roma rotated the squad following that 4-1 loss at Camp Nou, though above all looking ahead to the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday.

“Some players can't handle 90 minutes every three days. We put the crosses in and should analyse the performance more than just the result, because in that case we deserved more.

“We accept this defeat and can now begin thinking about Barcelona. We're coming off two defeats where we didn't deserve to lose heavily."
