Roma coach Di Francesco admits Bologna win could've been better

Roma coach Eusebio Di Francesco admits they need to learn from victory over Bologna.

Roma won 2-1 on Monday night thanks to Aleksandar Kolarov and Federico Fazio goals, despite Nicola Sansone's late consolation.

“I must say that in the first half, we weren't at the races," Di Francesco said after the game.

“We made too many mistakes and deserved to be trailing. We weren't very polished, we shot from distance when we couldn't got into the box. We took the wrong steps.

“We seem to be winning games that I don't like, but in the second half the team were better after we changed something tactically.

“It's a game that must serve as a lesson for us, but it was important to bring home the three points.

“It's a step back from the game against Porto. We'd changed little compared to our Champions League match and maybe this is the result: mental clarity can make the difference.

“(Daniele) De Rossi? It's clear that he needs looking at on a daily basis. He trains and then skips a session.

“Champions League race? Ultimately all the teams involved will fight until the end of the season.

“Milan have sent out an important signal and we couldn't afford to lose track, so we're happy with the three points."
