AS Roma chief Tiago Pinto has welcomed new signing Zeki Celik.

The fullback arrives from Lille, with his move confirmed today.

Pinto said, "We are really happy that Celik has decided to come to Roma: his determination in choosing to marry our project is an indispensable prerequisite for creating an increasingly motivated group of players.

"In addition, despite being still young, Zeki has already accumulated a great deal of international experience, which will prove to be very useful in the the team's growth path."

Celik has signed with Roma to 2026 and added: "For me it is an honour to play for such an important club: I have great ambitions and I want to contribute to the success of the team. I feel ready and focused, I never give up and you will always see me fighting on the pitch."
