Roma chief Pinto turns to Arsenal striker Lacazette

Roma are making a move for Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette.

Corriere della Sera says Tammy Abraham is resisting a move to Roma with Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette now a serious alternative.

Roma general manager Tiago Pinto is in the UK for talks with Abraham, but with the Chelsea striker reluctant, Lacazette is now a 'concrete hypothesis'.

Lacazette has one-year remaining on his Gunners contract and could be available to leave in order to fund Mikel Arteta's own transfer plans - which ironically could include Abraham himself.

New Roma coach Jose Mourinho is keen to find a new centre-forward with Edin Dzeko on the brink of move to Inter Milan.
