AS Roma are set to enter a bidding war with West Ham United for Inter Milan defender Danilo D'Ambrosio.

Italian publication Il Messaggero is reporting that Roma have held talks with Inter about a potential transfer, while D'Ambrosio's agent is understood to have already spoken with the Hammers about a move to Upton Park.

It now appears the two clubs will go head-to-head to secure the services of the 26-year-old, who made 23 Serie A appearances for Inter last season.
