Roma attacker Nicola Zalewski upset with Bodo/Glimt's plastic pitch

Roma attacker Nicola Zalewski was unhappy with the plastic pitch in defeat at Europa Conference League opponents Bodo/Glimt.

Roma lost the first-leg of their quarterfinal 2-1.

Zalewski said, "There are regrets, because we controlled the game in every moment until going behind. As ever in football, incidents make the difference and we need a great performance in a week's time.

“Playing a quarter-final of a European competition on a pitch like this is just unimaginable. Hopefully, UEFA will take action in future years, because this playing surface causes serious injuries."

He added, “I try to do everything I can with every ball so I can help the team. I am not feeling the pressure, my teammates and the staff are helping a great deal."
