AS Roma and Manchester United are continuing to haggle over a deal for Chris Smalling.
Smalling has enjoyed successful loan with Roma this season.
Gazzetta dello Sport says United and Roma are far apart in their valuations Smalling, as talks continue over a potential extension to his stay in Italy.
Roma want to pay €3million up front to keep Smalling for next season on loan, and then have a 'mandatory purchase clause' worth €15million included in the deal.
But it's claimed United want more up front, with negotiations continuing.
