Roger Espinoza confident Wigan staying up

Roger Espinoza is confident he can help Wigan Athletic stay up.

Espinoza, a free transfer from Major League Soccer club Kansas City, made his Latics debut in Tuesday's 1-0 FA Cup third round replay win at Bournemouth.

Wigan are only outside the Premier League's bottom three on goal difference.

But Honduras international Espinoza, 26, said "I have been watching the Premier League for as long as I can remember - and I have seen enough in the squad to know we can survive."
