Jack Rodwell has welcomed Everton's new signing Jermaine Beckford.
Rodwell believes that given the squad at their disposal, the Toffees can push on this term, but only if they keep their stars fit.
The teenage midfielder told Sky Sports News: "It showed at the back end of last season that we've got the squad to beat the big teams, especially with a fully fit squad, hopefully that's what we'll start with and if we get a good run I think we can definitely do things this season."
Rodwell believes the signing of former Leeds United striker Beckford can only boost the squad.
"Beckford obviously will be a good signing, add a goal threat to us as well so that can only help us," he said.
