Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell insists the dressing room regard Joe Hart as the team's No1.
The England stopper was replaced by Costel Pantilimon against Newcastle United in the Capital One Cup after his last-minute gaffe against Chelsea on Sunday lost City the game.
"We all know Joe is number one," Rodwell said. "Pantilimon is always there - Joe is number one and Costel is good competition for him.
'He is a good lad, who trains well every day. He and Richard Wright are both good. He put on a good performance at Newcastle.
"He is an international keeper, but having Joe in front of you it would be difficult for a lot of keepers.
"He digs away, put in a good performance, and the League Cup is good for him this season."
