Rodrygo was delighted to be part of Real Madrid's 2-0 defeat of Espanyol.

Madrid were comfortable winners with Raphael Varane and Karim Benzema scoring.

"We are very happy with the team's momentum," Rodrygo said.

"I have to think about the present, nothing more.

"The Galatasaray thing is past. I am happy with what I am playing.

"There are lots of good players here."

Vinicius Junior produced a decent performance against the Catalan side, and Rodrygo explained that he combines well with his teammate on the pitch.

"We found each other very well [on the pitch]," he noted.

"I am getting used to playing on the right little by little. I think Vini played well."
