Jay Rodriguez has committed his future to Southampton by signing a brand new contract with the club.
The 25-year old striker has penned a new four-year deal which is reported to have more than doubled his wages to £60,000-a-week according to the Daily Mail.
Rodriguez, who has been sidelined all season with a knee injury, had emerged on the transfer radars of Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham but was thrilled to pledge his allegiance to the Saints.
"I'm delighted," Rodriguez told Southampton's official YouTube channel.
"It's a great club and we've done amazingly this year.
"It's been a tough year for myself being out, but I'm really delighted to sign the contract. It's now about looking forward to the future.
"The medical staff have all worked tirelessly with me, so this is great news. I just want to carry on improving now and to try to get some game time."
