Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has paid tribute to the club's FA Women's Super League champions.
Liverpool Ladies saw off closest challengers Bristol Academy to lift the trophy for the very first time, courtesy of a penalty from Louise Fors and a later effort by Katrin Omarsdottir.
"I'm absolutely delighted for them," Rodgers told Liverpoolfc.com.
"We've been a part of their story from the beginning of the season. I wished them all the best and good luck.
"I'm sure they're going to have a really good night. It's a wonderful achievement; from where they finished last season, to grow and be up near the top all the way through the season.
"To finish a pressure game and win it 2-0 was remarkable. Congratulations to them and hopefully they have a good couple of days."
