Rodgers out to continue cup success with Leicester

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers wants to continue his personal cup success with the club.

Rodgers enjoyed the domestic cup competitions when he was manager of Celtic, winning the lot for several successive seasons.

Now he is hoping to lead Leicester to the Carabao Cup, which would be their first piece of silverware for a few years.

They face a resurgent Everton in the quarter finals on Wednesday.

"You've just got to prepare and respect the competition," said Rodgers to reporters.

"I've never seen any competition as just giving players a chance to play.

"We're there to win and that will be the same idea going to Everton on Wednesday. It will be a tough game for us but you've just got to be very focused and prepare, and let the players know how important it is.

"But the players know, because it's something we want to do in our time working together."
