Rodgers keen to bring Ipswich striker Scotland back to Swansea

Swansea City boss Brendan Rodgers admits he'd be keen to bring Ipswich striker Jason Scotland back to the club.

Rodgers is keen to sign a forward before the close of the transfer window and would not rule out a move for Trinidad & Tobago international Scotland.

"He is someone who had two fantastic years here and scored a lot of goals," said Rodgers in the Evening Post. "Everyone knows Jason's qualities and if he became available for a loan we would have to consider it.

"There was a possibility to buy him in the summer, but we didn't have that sort of money and there were other things we needed to look at the time at the club.

"But he is certainly a player that could be interesting.

"I don't know what the situation is with him because I've not asked the question.

"Maybe it's a case that he wants to play, but I've not spoken to anyone and he's an Ipswich player."
