Leicester City fullback Ricardo Pereira could be back in action within three weeks' time.
The Portuguese right-back has been on the sidelines for nearly eight months following a cruciate ligament injury sustained in a 4-0 win over Aston Villa in March.
He travelled with the squad to Athens for the Europa League tie with AEK to continue training, and after the victory, manager Brendan Rodgers explained his plan for the 27-year-old.
“We brought Ricardo out here to continue with his rehabilitation," said Rodgers.
“He's getting close but he won't feature before the international break. We're hopeful after that he will be available to take part.
“It's great news for us. He's progressed really well, he's worked ever so hard, and he's now joining in parts of the session with the outfield players, and we just wanted to keep that rehab going so we took him with us."
