Rochdale boss Hill unfazed by Alli penalty: I'll cheer if he does it for England

Rochdale manager Keith Hill wasn't perturbed by the actions of Dele Alli in his side's 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup fifth-round on Sunday.

With a burgeoning reputation for simulation, highlighted by his yellow card against Liverpool last month, Alli earned a soft penalty with two minutes to go at Spotland Stadium.

Harry Kane converted the spot-kick, but Hill believes Alli was making the best out of an opportunity, and added that he would be supporting the England international if he tried the same thing in the upcoming World Cup.

Hill said: "I'm led to believe he (Alli) was looking for it, but why not? If players feel there is an opportunity to be gained then brilliant, I don't hold it against him.

"I don't blame him and I don't have a problem with it.

"Whether it's him, Harry Kane or Ian Henderson, it doesn't matter who does it.

"If he does that for England in the World Cup this summer then I will definitely be supporting him."
