Robinson: Everton and Lampard perfect for Dele Alli

Karl Robinson says Everton is the ideal move for former Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli.

Robinson was Alli's manager at MK Dons.

“I think sometimes you can be in one place for so long and sometimes the harder you try, the harder it becomes," Robinson told talkSPORT.

“Sometimes you just need to take a break from that actual situation. This move going to Everton could be the perfect recipe to find his form.

“He lives and breathes confidence, I think every footballer does, and it's just that little bit of spark he's going to need."

Robinson continued: “There's so much speculation and people want to criticise. It's so easy within the modern industry to point fingers at people for different attitudes and hair-dos and so on and so forth.

“Everyone thinks that's the reason you are playing poorly. Sometimes it is just that simple that you get on with a manager and they get the best out of you.

“Frank (Lampard) is, arguably, the best goalscoring midfielder in the Premier League we've seen, so he knows how to coach him.

“The big thing for him is he will be playing for a manager who he knows how he plays because that is what his game is all about.

“It's playing in a position that suits him as well. I've watched a lot of him over the last two or three years and there's been so many formation changes and manager changes.

“None of those formation changes have been wrong as they've helped managers at previous football clubs and help today.

“Maybe he doesn't fit into that or the plans. It's much better the move is permanent because he can get ready.

“It's a perfect football club for him."
