Paul Robinson is confident Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce will adequately replace Roque Santa Cruz.
"It's not for us to speculate about Roque," said the goalkeeper when asked if he hoped the striker might stay at Ewood.
"It's a silly time when people are going here, there and everywhere. But one of the manager's qualities is in the transfer market.
"We're a club that's financially stable but we aren't able to throw millions of pounds left, right and centre.
"The manager's very good at knowing the type of player he wants and dealing in the market to get what he wants, so he'll do what's right for the team and the club.
"If we do lose Roque, I'm sure the manager will use the funds cleverly to improve the squad."
