Manchester City's rising star Patrick Roberts has credited teammates Fabian Delph and David Silva with playing a major role in his development this season.
Roberts was a standout performer for City's U-19 side in their 4-1 win over Juventus in the UEFA Youth League, scoring a superb individual goal and providing the assist for two others.
Roberts told City's official website he believes the opportunity to train alongside players of the calibre of Delph and Silva has accelerated his development.
"The lads have all been great and have helped me settle in quickly," he said.
"I flew out to Australia with Fabian Delph after we'd both signed and we spoke a lot along the way.
"Fabian is a fantastic lad and I really get on with him well. He looks out for me and we sit next to each other in the changing rooms so it was good to get to know someone like that so quickly.
"He's an exceptional talent and I dream to be like him one day. He's one of the most humble people you could meet as well and he's always talking to me, giving me advice. He's a great guy.
"The boss has told me by training with the likes of David and everyone else I will keep improving and I need to work hard and my chance will come – then it's up to me to take the opportunity."
