Roberto De Zerbi has been named new coach of Sassuolo.

The Neroverdi parted ways with Beppe Iachini at the end of the season, and De Zerbi has done enough to convince the Emilian club he deserves to remain in Serie A.

“This morning, at the Mapei headquarters in Milan, an agreement was reached to confer the position of Coach of the first team to Mr. Roberto De Zerbi," a statement on Sassuolo's website confirms.

“The agreement runs from 1 July 2018 and provides for a two-year duration until June 2020. The presentation to the press and the media will take place in the coming weeks.

“A warm welcome to De Zerbi from all at Sassuolo Calcio. Work well, boss!"
