Roberto Carlos has urged James Rodriguez to stay with Real Madrid.

The Brazilian legend has voiced his admiration for the Colombian attacking midfielder and explained that most supporters like him as well.

"Zidane has a lot of respect for James," Roberto Carlos told BLU Radio.

"He makes lots of rotations and whenever James comes on he always does well.

"The most important thing now is that he keeps on training as well as he has been and that he maintains the confidence he has in himself.

"The fans love him.

"To tell you the truth, I care for him and, whenever I see him, I give him a big hug,

"He has done so much for this club and even more for his country."
