Rob Edwards has left his role as Wolves academy coach to join the England set-up.
The former defender has accepted a post with the FA, where he is likely to work as a possession coach with some of the national team's junior sides.
He could begin in the next international break.
Edwards worked on the Wolves coaching team under Kenny Jackett, Paul Lambert and Walter Zenga, before taking Telford United for the 2017-18 campaign. He returned to Molineux in summer 2018.
The 36-year-old played more than 100 games for Wolves from 2004-08 and also helped Blackpool win promotion to the Premier League in 2010.
