Former Barcelona star Rivaldo is backing former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho's return at Real Madrid.

Former Real president Ramon Calderon raised the prospect - twice - just this week.

And Rivaldo, writing for Betfair, stated: "There are certainly a lot of things at stake for (Santiago) Solari in the Clasico. It is normal that things get complicated for him. It would make two defeats in three days against the eternal rival, and it could be very detrimental for him.

"In this situation, the name Mourinho will ring again. José is a great coach who had his moment of glory in Madrid and his possible return to Bernabéu is still relevant, especially when things go wrong, as is the case here."
