Former Cagliari star Gigi Riva admits he's a fan of Roma coach Jose Mourinho.

Riva has dismissed criticism of the Giallorossi boss.

He told Il Messaggero: "He has personality, temperament, he gives the team the his character.

" Who was like him in my day? Everyone has their own characteristics, (Manlio) Scopigno was the opposite for example. Mourinho is unique in his genre."

Riva played for Cagliari from 1963 to 1976, scoring 207 goals in 377 games.
