Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe heaped praise on winger Matt Ritchie following the 2-0 win against Southampton on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old provided delightful free-kicks for both goals, scored by Steve Cook and Benik Afobe, which prompted the following reaction from Howe.

"He's got a lovely left foot," Howe said.

"There's never been any doubt about that. When he connects and gets it right, whether he is shooting or creating, it's a real weapon in our armoury.

"So I was delighted for him to get two assists and the other two lads to score."
