Ritchie dismisses transfer talk insisting he wants Portsmouth stay

Portsmouth midfielder Matt Ritchie is ignoring talk of a move to Swindon insisting he wants to stay at Fratton Park. Swindon chief Danny Wilson has been linked with a swoop for Ritchie after the 20-year-old had a brief spell on loan with the Robins last season.

But Ritchie told The News said: "I've heard about the Swindon talk, but have just tried to ignore things.

"It's a big year and a big chance for the young lads around the club at the moment and I want to be involved.

"I want to play for Pompey - so until the manager comes to me and says he doesn't want me here anymore, then I will be here.

"For me, there is nowhere else I would rather be than here."
