Former Real Madrid midfielder Freddy Rincon is frustrated with James Rodriguez's struggles.

Rincon feels that James cannot complain about not being given enough opportunities to prove himself.

"I would not rank my situation as equal to his, because James has had many more opportunities. Each person has to look at how they can take them," Rincon told Super Combo del Deporte en Cali.

"I would have liked to have had half, or even 20 percent, of the opportunities that he had, but I think that's up to each person to talk about.

"When he gives explanations without logic, he gives journalists or the people the chance to respond.

"You have to take care of yourself in the profession of a footballer or whatever else, and be able to handle things in the best possible way."
