Albert Riera has pledged his future to Liverpool after the departure of manager Rafa Benitez.
The Spain winger appeared on his way out of Anfield last season after a furious outburst against his manager.
But yesterday he said: "On a personal level, I benefit from his departure. I was looking around for other options for the past couple of months. It was a closed door for me but now it is open once again.
"For now I'm staying but we know that unexpected things can happen in football. The good thing is that I still attract interest and I'm sure the price wouldn't be a problem
"It's a pity because under normal circumstances I could've been in the squad, a World Cup is the biggest event in a footballer's career".
