Ridsdale impressed as other club's rally round Plymouth

Plymouth's chairman of football operations, Peter Ridsdale, is grateful for the support offered to the Pilgrims by other Football League clubs since they emerged from administration. The former Leeds and Cardiff chairman told the Plymouth Herald: "What has struck me since we came out of administration is the tremendous amount of goodwill there is in football for our club."

He added: "We are getting clubs going out of their way to try to be helpful, which is very encouraging.

"There is a lot of affection for Plymouth Argyle in the eyes of many people, and I think what we have been through recently has only enhanced that.

"I must have spoken to 30 managers in the last three or four days and everybody has said they will try to help."
