Richarlison double helps Everton put five past plucky Fleetwood

Everton survived a late fight-back to claim a 5-2 win over Fleetwood Town in the EFL Cup.

A double from Richarlison put the visitors in a comfortable position at half-time.

The League One outfit then got back in the game through Mark Duffy but Alex Iwobi restored the two-goal advantage only a minute later.

Callum Camps made it 3-2 with a wonderful bicycle kick before Bernard killed the game off and Moise Kean netted in injury time.

Speaking after the game, Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti said: "The performance in the first half was good. We didn't start the second half with intensity. The game was in control in the end.

"Their performance was good. Alex Iwobi did well. It was not easy to prepare, we have a lot of games. Momentum is good."
