Everton striker Richarlison admits he's spent the "whole day arguing" over his wish to be part of Brazil's Olympic Games squad.
Richarlison, in an interview with ESPN Brasil in the aftermath of Brazil's 1-0 Copa America win over Chile, sounds certain he has convinced Everton to allow his release for the competition, which finishes on August 7 - one week before the new season begins with the visit of Southampton.
Everton appeared to have made their feelings clear but Richarlison is set on representing his country at the Games and reveals the conversations this week were difficult.
He declared, “I had a fight there, right? I spent the whole day arguing with Everton, with the director. I also called the new coach.
“It's very important for me to get this experience, get more mature because it's going to be important to me."
