Richardson happier in Sunderland left-back role

Kieran Richardson is feeling more comfortable at left-back for Sunderland.

Richardson feels he's getting used to his new role on the left side of defence after being converted from a midfielder.

"I feel comfortable there right now and I'm adapting," he explained told safc.com after defeat to West Bromwich Albion.

"It's probable that some teams might try and target me because I'm not a left back by birth but with every game I think I'm getting better and the more games I get under my belt the better I'll hopefully get.

"Tonight and tomorrow we'll obviously be really down but it's an important game on Tuesday and then a big one on Sunday."
