Former Fulham and Liverpool defender Richard Money has been named new manager of Hartlepool United.

Money is Hartlepool's new manager, more than a year after he left his last role at Solihull Moors.

Chairman Raj Singh said: “Ultimately, Richard was somebody who was very impressive at interview, who has a detailed knowledge of the squad.

"He wanted to work with the backroom team of Ged [McNamee] and Ross [Turnbull], who have really impressed during their time at the club."
