Ricardo La Volpe is being linked with a return to football at Queretaro.

Queretaro are seeking a new coach after the sacking of Alex Diego and La Volpe is among those being considered.

Argentina World Cup winner La Volpe, who coached both Mexico and Costa Rica, has spoken of retiring from coaching. However, it's now being claimed he would seriously consider taking the Queretaro job.

Also being linked with the post is Héctor Altamirano, who has no coaching experience in the Liga MX.

Altamirano had been part of the Costa Rican coaching staff under Gustavo Matosas and had a spell in charge of Toros de Celaya.
