REVEALED: Zidane tells Florentino he's ready for Real Madrid return

Zinedine Zidane has told Real Madrid president Florentino Perez he's prepared to return.

However, the Frenchman has insisted he won't consider stepping in immediately and instead would be willing to replace coach Santiago Solari at the end of this season.

Jugones says Zidane was impressed by the assurances Florentino offered during their conversation, which included full control of departures and 100 per cent access to the money raised to spend on his choice of signings.

The president put in the call to Zidane on the same evening Real were dumped out of the Champions League by Ajax.

Florentino asked Zidane to return immediately - but the Frenchman refused to consider such a situation. Though he told the president he would be willing to re-sign in June.
