REVEALED: Why Sangare 'rejected Southampton and Everton' to pen new PSV deal

Southampton were close to signing PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ibrahim Sangare.

That's according to former Dutch player Kiki Musampa, whose brother Jean acts as Sangare's agent.

Sangare has just penned a new deal to 2027 with PSG and Kiki Musampa revealed: "Southampton wanted him, but he didn't think it was the right club.

"Everton was also interested. But he also has his doubts about that.

"Those are clubs that are not sure in the Premier League and the risk of relegation is great. I have to say: it was a good offer from PSV. He is now the highest paid player at PSV."
