REVEALED: Why RB Leipzig will NOT consider re-signing Keita from Liverpool

RB Leipzig won't consider re-signing Naby Keita from Liverpool.

Keita is still held in high regard by former employers Leipzig however, though German publication Bild have stated a return move is simply not on the cards.

BILD reports that three factors stand in the way of any likely deal between both clubs, with Keita's huge salary a key problem.

Liverpool reportedly pay Keita around £11million in wages per year, which falls well outside Leipzig's budget.

In addition, the Bundesliga club's recruitment strategy focuses on players aged 24 and under, with Keita now 25.

He also is now considered an established and elite performer at the top level, something that does not appeal to Leipzig.

The club's business model is centred on signing young, talented players whom they can develop and sell on for a profit.

Should Liverpool wish to sell, they would no doubt aim to recoup much of the fee they paid Leipzig.
