REVEALED: Why Kokcu penned Feyenoord deal ahead of Arsenal, Sevilla offers

Orkun Kokcu turned down an offer from Arsenal to re-sign with Feyenoord, it has been revealed.

The midfielder penned a new contract to 2025 last week with the Rotterdam outfit.

And AD says the Turkish youngster made the decision despite having rival offers on the table from Arsenal and Sevilla.

It's been revealed his father Halis and adviser Ali Dursun, who counts Frenkie de Jong among his clientele, were clear: an extra season under Dick Advocaat in a familiar environment would be crucial in the development of the player.

As such, Kokcu agreed to the improved contract tabled by Feyenoord and put pen to paper last week.
