Arsenal failed to secure one of their top targets for the January transfer window - attacking talent Dominik Szoboszlai.

The attacking midfielder earned rave reviews for his performances with RB Salzburg, and was heading for a move in January.

However, the Gunners were pipped to the post by RB Leipzig, who secured Szoboszlai in a quick fire deal.

The Athletic reports that Arsenal technical director Edu has some doubts about the Hungarian.

He was not sure Szoboszlai would be an instant hit for the Gunners, and may have backed off the move.
