A nasty insult aimed at his fiancee allegedly sparked the pub brawl involving Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, it has been claimed.

iNews reports the fight that allegedly involved England's World Cup star was sparked after his fiancee was called a “fat c***".

His club Everton are investigating a video which allegedly shows the goalkeeper at the centre of a fight in Sunderland.

The video, which has circulated online, was captured in the hours after Pickford's former club Sunderland lost to Portsmouth on penalties in the Checkatrade Trophy final on Sunday.
