REVEALED: Two senior players battle for Ozil's old No10 Arsenal shirt

Two Arsenal players are Mesut Ozil's old No10 shirt.

ESPN says Fenerbahce snapped the 32-year-old up on a free transfer where he has made nine appearances in all competitions.

It has left the No10 vacant and a number of players have asked to take on the ex-Real Madrid star's shirt.

Alexandre Lacazette has demanded that he be given the number despite currently occupying the No.9 kit - a shirt predominantly worn by the main striker.

However, the Frenchman is said to prefer the No.10, the same kit he wore at Lyon in his final four seasons at the club where he caught the eye of Arsenal.

The other looking to land the kit is club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, despite being on record saying that he prefers to be the No.14.

A handful of players at Arsenal are also in the running, including Willian - who currently dons the No.22.

The Brazilian was No.10 at Chelsea in his final year but it remains to be seen whether the forward will be at Arsenal next season.
