REVEALED: Tottenham insiders lobbying for Pochettino return from PSG

There's a push inside Tottenham to bring back PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino this summer.

Ryan Mason was appointed on an interim basis for the remaining seven matches of the campaign - leading his side to four victories and three defeats during his tenure, but he will not take the post permanently.

Spurs are now entering the close-season without a manager at the helm and there will be a degree of urgency in an attempt to resolve the situation as soon as possible.

The Independent reports there are figures at the club who believe that they should target a return for Pochettino, who was sacked in November 2019 and appointed as Paris Saint-Germain boss five months ago.

The Argentine remains a highly popular figure among the club's supporters and the current squad, many of whom he worked closely with in his time in North London.

After failing to win the Ligue 1 title and in the Champions League, Spurs may feel that an ambitious move to bring Pochettino back to the club may not be quite as implausible as it initially sounds, although it is unlikely that either the manager or PSG would be open to such an arrangement.
