Barcelona are frustrated they've been shut out of any future raid on Liverpool talent.
The Liverpool Echo says Liverpool and Barcelona both negotiated a deal for Philippe Coutinho back in January 2018, with the forward moving to the Nou Camp in a huge £142million transfer deal. And included in that agreement was a clause that meant should the La Liga giants come calling again, they would have to pay a 'premium'. Or another £89million for any Reds star they wish to buy before 2020.
It effectively means Barcelona have no chance of landing Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk or Roberto Firmino anytime soon.
Before Coutinho, Luis Suarez left for Barca in a blockbuster £64.98m deal.
And, prior to the Uruguay international's exit, Barcelona had also raided Liverpool to sign Javier Mascherano.
