REVEALED: Rooney won’t leave Man Utd for China

Wayne Rooney will not be leaving Manchester United for China next week.

Sky Sports is reporting that the Red Devils captain won't exit Old Trafford for a big-money transfer to the Far East before the Chinese Super League's Tuesday deadline.

It is understood that Rooney's entourage have been approached by several CSL clubs, including Guangzhou Evergrande and Beijing Guoan, but the 31-year-old is not preparing to depart United at this point in time.

Rooney is believed to be unhappy with his current situation of failing to receive regular football under Jose Mourinho and it is expected that he could leave the club at the end of the season.

Major League Soccer (MLS) clubs remain interested while boyhood club Everton is also seen as a possible destination.

The England skipper has 18 months - with the option of a further year - remaining on his United contract.
