AS Roma have made an attempt to bring Zvonimir Boban back to Italian football.
Boban was forced out of AC Milan as sporting director by chief exec Ivan Gazidis after publicly criticising him for trying to hire Ralf Rangnick with Stefano Pioli only months into his tenure.
Boban paid for his job after calling out Gazidis, though has since been proven right with Pioli guiding Milan back into Europe and having them as Scudetto contenders this season.
Corriere dello Sport says Boban's work hasn't gone unnoticed by Roma's new owners, which have made overtures to the Croatian.
But for the moment, Boban isn't ready to return to football.
