Real Madrid are taking disciplinary action against Isco on request from coach Santiago Solari.

La Sexta says Solari chose to make the demand after Isco's antics prior to Real's shock Champions League defeat to Ajax.

Isco refused to travel to the Santiago Bernabeu on the team bus with the rest of the squad after learning he was out of the squad. The midfielder was also absent for when Solari announced the team.

As such, the coach informed management of Isco's behaviour and now action is being taken against him.

On Friday, Solari was blunt when discussing the midfielder: "Disciplinary issues are handled internally. To play you have to put yourself first in physical form and then the competitive form is a must."
