REVEALED: Real Madrid sold Reguilon to Spurs after Zidane Jr clash

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane pushed for the sale of Sergio Reguilon to Tottenham, it has been revealed.

Reguilon completed a £30million move to north London earlier this year, providing Jose Mourinho with another option at left back.

El Confidencial says Reguilon was sold because of a 'disagreement' with Zidane's son, Luca.

Reguilon was briefly managed by Zidane in the Real B team, at the same time Luca was in the squad, but was loaned out to Logrones at the start of the campaign in which the Frenchman was promoted to the first-team job.

He was also loaned out to Sevilla at the start of 2019-20, Zidane's first full season since he returned to the Bernabeu.

With Marcelo and Ferland Mendy in place at the Bernabeu, the decision was taken to sell Reguilon this summer after just 22 first-team appearances for Real.
