Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and captain Sergio Ramos met briefly on Thursday.

The pair had turned on eachother on Tuesday night after Real's shock Champions League elimination at the hands of Ajax. Tempers were so heated that Ramos, it is claimed, told Florentino to pay out his contract so he could leave.

However, both men having cooled off, El Chiringuito reports they met yesterday to organise a longer meeting to thrash out any differences and clear the air.

The chat lasted barely 60 seconds, but it was a step in the right direction after the events of Tuesday evening.
