Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos sought crisis talks with Pep Guardiola last night.

Don Balon says after defeat at Alaves, Kroos called the Manchester City manager seeking advice from his former Bayern Munich coach.

The midfielder, knowing Guardiola watches Real's games, asked the Catalan for his opinion why it isn't working for Julen Lopetegui.

Guardiola refused to be critical of the Real coach and instead put the emphasis on the players.

It's claimed he told Kroos that Real would never get anywhere unless the players believed in Lopetegui's methods.
